The Center is supporting agencies and users within each state, and also in a coordinated fashion across the states. Much of our research has an interdisciplinary flavor, allowing us to share data and techniques across subject boundaries and perform integrative assessments across multiple application areas and economic sectors. We continue to invite new end-users of geospatial environmental information, and encourage participation from a diverse array of stakeholders. The Upper Midwest Regional Earth Science Applications Center acts as an Environmental Information Service for the region, directly supporting the needs of particular stakeholders by developing specific projects tailored user needs.
